Dvur Kralove

In between every camp we have 3 days of rest. It gives us time to relax and get our brains together for the next week of camp. It's much needed.

During Hradec Kralove follow-up, Denča and Erin stayed with one of our favorite students named Tamča. They went to her cottage in Dvur Kralove for a family birthday party one night and fell in love with it. They had the idea of staying there during our next rest time. As of this point we didn't have much of a plan, so we went with it. We asked Tamča's family if it would be okay to stay at their cottage during our upcoming time of rest. The sound of being away from civilization and away from wi-fi sounded fantastic. They graciously said yes...

We arrived. Home-made blueberry dumplings awaited us. Our beds were set up. The orders from the family were

"Relax and do nothing. We are taking care of you for these next 3 days."

Not only did they let us stay there, but they made and provided all of our food. I have never been served like this before. They did everything they could to make sure that we stayed rested.

One cool aspect of our time at the cottage too was that we got to be close with Tamča's family. They didn't speak any english, and we (besides Denča) didn't speak any Czech, but we still had so much fun together and connected in a major way.

This was our toilet. I think Shrek lives close by. It was the best. "

For sure one of the best Czech culture.... no.... life experiences I've ever had.
